Network Cabling Solutions

For a number of years now Voice and Data Cabling requirements have merged. Today cabling infrastructures are deigned to support Voice, Data, Video and security systems and other building communications service applications such as Cable, TV, Video conferencing and other security applications.

Common connection points allow for total flexibility to the users in deciding whether a point is to be Data one day and telephone the next.

In this manner if solutions are deigned correctly at the outset the need for additional cables to be installed is greatly reduced.

Fibre Optics

Fibre optic cabling can be used in both horizontal and backbone sections of the cabling infrastructure. Although it is fair and easy to say its primary usage would be backbone cable which links together the floors of a building, or as an external link to a remote building, within the area covered by a communications system.

The fibre optic solution is favoured as an alternative to standard copper cabling as bandwidth requirements increase and costs of fibre optic cable decrease.

Another great advantage, particularly in military, financial and medical applications is that it is not affected by electromagnetic radiation and therefore offers a solution to a wide range of communications platforms.

Structured Cabling Solutions
